The Idea of a University: Ep 16

Ep. 16: Rhetoric, pt 2.  (25 min) MP3 Dr. Ron Muller and Mast. Bobby Kinkela continue to discuss the art of rhetoric .  The main purpose of rhetoric is to explain the good of one’s own position, and so rhetoric is a good tool in itself, but it can be used in sinful ways.  We get into responsible rhetoric, especially in advertising.  How it can be done ethically?  How can we guard ourselves against the rhetoric from TV programs and internet advertising?  Rhetoric used to be the title of high school and college courses and that this is no longer the case.  So how can we educate ourselves about rhetoric?  This is a part 2 of 2 podcast on Rhetoric.
